Tarot for Beginners
There are so many people interested in working with the Tarot, but as a beginner, it can feel it can feel overwhelming.
When faced with the challenge of memorizing 78 cards, their meanings, symbols, reversals, and spreads - especially with only a tiny pamphlet and the internet, most folks just walk away.
Instead of instructing you on what someone else has written about the cards, in this 4-hour workshop you'll learn how to trust your own intuition and read the cards without any guidebook.
What you'll come away with:
-Confidence in your intuition and a connection to your inner wisdom
-A framework you can use to decode every card's message
-Playful and fun practices that will keep you engaged in exploring your deck
-Questions you can return to that will support and expand your practice
-Journal prompts to help you "date" each card
-A community of other students to continue your practice with
What you'll need:
-Though not required, I strongly encourage students to work with the Smith Rider Waite tarot deck
-Note-taking materials
-Curiosity and an open mind
What's on the Agenda:
-A very brief history of the Tarot
-How to make personal connection to each of the 78 cards using the Rider Waite Smith system as our guide
-Unpacking the numerological & elemental associations
-How to "drop in" and listen to your intuitive self
-How to create your own spreads
-How to create your own guidebook
In the past I have taught a slightly smaller version of this course to students 1:1 ($235/2.5hrs) My hope is that by bringing a larger group of students together I can teach more people for less!
"I'm totally new to tarot, I've never had a reading. I became interested in learning tarot this year, so some friends bought me a lesson with Meredyth. I didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being very fun! Meredyth is clearly very passionate about tarot and I really appreciated her open and friendly energy. I loved her positive and accessible approach to tarot. The session was very fun and inspiring for me! I definitely recommend going to see Meredyth, especially if you're new to this!"
